As you’re aware the new rates dramatically reduced the value of energy exported by rooftop solar systems, and also increased the basic service charges.
We are very pleased to reach out to you today to let you know that on September 15, 2016 the Nevada PUC reversed the previous ruling allowing homeowners with active Net Metering applications dated before January 1, 2016 the ability to revert back to a full credit Net Metering rate structure designed to “grandfather” existing solar customers into their former rate structure. Fortunately, you may be eligible to benefit from this new ruling. What this now means is you are able to move forward with your solar project, which had previously been placed on “hold” pending this rate design issue. In addition, due to the written laws you are able to reassign your “net metering reservation” to a new solar contractor that remained in Nevada despite the disfavoring decision early 2015.
