Photovoltaic (PV) Installer Position

Position Summary: In this position, the PV installer will provide support to the crew lead installer. As a solar installer you will install rooftop & ground mount PV arrays, trench underground conduit, perform minor construction for ground mounts and assemble the solar system mounting, racking and modules.

Responsibilities:

1. Perform installations including mounting rooftops and or ground mounted PV arrays,
   electrical systems & wiring, trenching for underground conduit.
2. Assemble job components and materials
3. Perform construction work for ground rack systems
4. Electrical wiring of solar system (AC & DC)
5. Clean up of job site
6. Help ensure safe work practices of the installation team

Requirements:

• Candidates must be open to working overtime hours if needed.
• Flexible hours if required.
• Maintains valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Must be a team player
• At least 3 years general construction knowledge to include: roofing, electrical and carpentry skills.
• Some basic knowledge of major PV components.
• Ability to work in extreme environments i.e. high places and sun
• Position requires roof and attic work.
• Comfortable with ladder and scaffolding work; No fear of heights
• Full range of mobility in upper and lower body and be able to lift 50 pounds of weight frequently throughout assigned workday.
• Be able to work in various positions, including, but not limited to, stooping, standing, bending over, sitting, kneeling and squatting for extended periods of time.
• Willing and able to travel to various job locations. Includes travel to Southern California.

Competencies:

• Familiarity with OSHA compliance safety practices.
• Communication: Display strong oral communication skills and employs effective listening skills.
• Strong interpersonal and customer relations skills will be critical when working in with our
  team.
• Strong work ethic.
