Announcement: Seeking Entry Level Commercial Solar Installer

SUNworks is seeking a full time Entry Level Commercial Solar Installer. We are looking for a mechanically minded individual to work in the field as a PV Solar Installer for Commercial photo-voltaic (PV) systems. You must be able to work cohesively with common sense under the supervision of field management. Responsible for assisting with the general labor and installation of solar electric systems as directed/planned by management.

Responsibilities: (included but not limited to)

1. Rooftop panel mounting
2. Structural mounting of racking, modules and electrical equipment
3. Mechanical/Electrical system troubleshooting
4. Customer interaction
5. Miscellaneous labor
6. On site inventory
7. Layout of solar modules / array
8. Assembly of mounting hardware
9. Basic electrical tool use
10. Site clean-up
11. Drive to and from the job site as required
12. Pre-assemble job components
13. Perform tool maintenance as required
14. Perform system service as required
15. Attend mandatory training sessions on new products, methodology and safety

Requirements: (included but not limited to)

1. Disciplined, self-motivated work style
2. Experience in mechanical installations, general construction, scaffold and ladder work
3. Must have a clean DMV record and pass a mandatory drug test
4. Must be able to bend, squat & stand for extended periods of time in varying weather conditions.
5. Must be able to lift 50+ pounds repetitively
6. Must be able to work at varying heights (i.e. 2 stories etc.)
7. Must be able to travel out of town and overnight as required

Compensation: Competitive hourly wages with Benefits
